Buhari Confirms Appointment Of Yakubu Pam As NCPC Executive Secretary


By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG)The appointment of Reverend Yakubu Pam as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari, according to a statement by the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who stated that the appointment took effect from June 26, and would last for five years.

The President, according to Shehu, called on Rev Pam to use his 30 years leadership experience to help promote interreligious peace and harmony in the country, especially in the war-torn North-East,

Reverend Yakubu Pam added that the cleric has held many leadership positions in the church, including Chairman, Plateau State Inter-Religious Council, Chairman  Internally Displaced Persons (IDP), Committee Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Northern Nigeria, Vice President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, and the District Superintendent of Jos Mainland Assemblies of Nigeria, until his latest appointment.
