Abia Governor, Ikpeazu, Tests Negative For COVID-19

By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has tested negative for COVID-19, according to a statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, following the confirmation of his new status by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

According to the statement, “Governor Ikpeazu is therefore deemed free of the virus according to the extant guidelines of NCDC and the World Health Organization (WHO)”.

Governor Ikpeazu has been on self-isolation since testing positive for the virus on June 8, 2020, from where he has been overseeing the affairs of the state.
