Office Of Public Defender Takes Over Trial Of Evans

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHOG) – The trial of alleged Kidnap kingpin, Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans, has been transferred from an Ikeja High Court in Lagos to the Office of the Public Defender (OPD), consequent to the inability of Evans to pay legal fees.

According to the Lagos State Attorney-General (A-G), Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), calls to Evans legal team inquiring about his legal representatives have proved abortive, as the defendant, according to Justice Hakeem Oshodi, had the penchant of engaging the services of irregular lawyers.

Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike is on trial, together with four others on allegations of kidnapping one Mr Donatius Dunu, the Chief Executive Officer of Maydon Pharmaceutical ltd, amongst other offences.
