First Lady Of Benue State, Eunice Ortom, Son, Are COVID-19 Positive

By Lilian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Eunice Ortom, wife of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The First Lady’s COVID-19 status was disclosed via a signed statement on Friday, July 3, 2020, in which she also stated that her son and some staff were infected with the disease, adding that she has gone into total isolation and commencement of treatment, in line with COVID-19 guideline.

The First Lady advised residents of the state that the best preventive measure against the virus was adherence to the protocols and guidelines prescribed by government and health authorities such as social distancing, use of hand sanitizers, regular washing of hands, avoiding crowded places and, if necessary, staying at home when sick.
