COVID-19 BRIEFS: 454 New Cases Recorded In Nigeria, As Total Infections Hit 27,564


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed via its verified Twitter handle on Friday, July 3, 2020, that Nigeria has recorded 454 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of infections in the country to 27,564

Breakdown of the fresh cases, which are spread across 18 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), are as follows: Lagos-87,Edo-63, FCT- 60, Ondo-41, Benue-32, Abia-31, Ogun- 29, Oyo-19, Kaduna-17, Delta-16, Enugu-15, Borno-14, Plateau-9, Nasarawa-8, Kano-5, Bauchi-4, Gombe-2, Katsina-1, and Kogi-1.

While 11,069 persons have been discharged, having recovered from the ailment, 628 fatalities have been recorded in Nigeria since the outbreak of the pandemic.
