“Remain Alert, The War On COVID-19 Is Not Yet Won”, FG Cautions Nigerians

By Bonita Onyeka (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigerians have been cautioned by the Federal Government against relaxing their guard, following the relaxation of COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions in the country, saying the war against the virus was not yet over.

Speaking at the daily press briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Mr Boss Mustapha, called on Nigerians to take responsibility in the fight against COVID-19, saying that the war against the virus was still on.

According to Mustapha, the continued increase in COVID-19 cases, despite all efforts by government and health authorities to check its rise, should be a red flag to Nigerians that all was not well yet, cautioning Nigerians to act with caution as the government will not hesitate to restore some restrictions if the need arises, adding that the people had crucial roles to play in the prevention of the disease by endeavouring to adhere to the guidelines released by the government and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) .
