#Housing: FG Flags Off Construction Of 10, 000 Housing Units In Borno State, Commission’s Two Health Centres


(AGENDWATCHDOG) – Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development, on behalf of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, has commissioned the construction of 10,000 Mass Housing Units in Borno State.

The ground breaking ceremony of the mass 10,000 housing Intervention Programme, which was performed by the Minister, at Ngwom, Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State, is proof of Mr President’s commitment and determination in ensuring that peace and stability is restored to the North-East Region.

Included in the housing estate are schools, markets and other social amenities. Each housing unit is estimated to cost N2 million.

Two other health facilities and and two ambulances for the Mohammed Goni Stadium and Muna Albadawi IDP Camps were also commissioned. The Health Centres and ambulances are to serve as Isolation and Medical Centres at the IDP Camps to support COVID-19 efforts.
