COVID-19 Lockdown: FG Extends Phase Two Of Eased Lockdown By Four Weeks


By Lilian Ogbonna (AGENDWATCHDOG)The Federal Government has extended phase two of eased COVID-19 lockdown in the country by another four weeks, starting from Tuesday, June 30, 2020, to Monday, July 27, 2020, according to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Chairman, Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Mr. Boss Mustapha.

Mustapha’s statement was released to State House Correspondents, following the submission of progress reports to President Muhammadu Buhari on the ongoing war against COVID-19 in the country.

The statement, which pointed out that the lockdown extension comes with some tweaks to the ease of lockdown protocols which  allows inter-state travel outside the curfew hours of 10: 00 pm to 4:00 am daily, also includes the provision for the resumption of students writing their final examinations.
