#COVID-19 BRIEFS: 566 New Cases Recorded In Nigeria, Taking Total Number Of Infections To 25, 133.


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed via its verified Twitter handle that Nigeria recorded 566 fresh cases of COVID-19, on Monday, June 29, 2020, taking total figures to 25, 133.

Breakdown of the fresh COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, which cuts across 19 states of the federation, including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), are as follows: Lagos – 166, Oyo – 66, Delta – 53, Ebonyi – 43, Plateau – 34, Ondo – 32, FCT – 26, Ogun – 25, Edo – 24, Imo – 15, Bayelsa – 13, Benue – 12, Gombe – 11, Kano – 11, Kaduna – 11, Osun – eight, Nasarawa – 7, Borno – 5, Katsina – 2, and Anambra – 2.

Out of the 25,133 total confirmed cases, 9,402 have been discharged, having recovered from the ailment, while 573 fatalities have been recorded since the outbreak of the disease.
