#Partnership: CACOVID Donates 150-bed Isolation Centre To Lagos State

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – As part of its continuing support for the ongoing efforts by governments at all levels and health authorities to check the continued spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, the Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) has donated a 150-bed isolation centre to the Lagos State Government, known as the Mainland Infectious Disease Isolation Centre, located in Yaba.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, while inaugurating the facility, lauded the CACOVID for the donation, intoning that the facility, which is about the seventh in the state, would boost the state’s response capacity to the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic, which has made Lagos State its epicenter in Nigeria.

Sanwo-Olu, however, urged Lagosians to start taking responsibility for their health by adhering to COVID-19 guidelines such as social distancing, regular hand washing, and use of alcohol based hand sanitizers, regardless of the state government’s efforts to make isolation facilities available for the management of the disease.
