Governor Okowa’s Daughter Tests Positive For COVID-19, Family Goes Into Isolation

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has revealed that one of his daughters is COVID-19 positive, following which he and other members of his family were going into 14 days isolation in line with the procedure of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Okowa’s disclosure, which was made on Friday, June 26, 2020, via his verified Twitter handle, was also confirmed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, via  a statement on Friday, June 26, 2020.

While Stating that the state government had upped efforts aimed at checking the continued spread of the virus in the state, Ifeajika used the opportunity to warn residents of the state of the need to continue adhering to COVID-19 protocols such as social distancing, regular hand washing, wearing of face masks and use of hand-sanitizers, as prescribed by the NCDC.
