By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Edo State primary Election is scheduled to hold today, with about 2,200 statutory delegates set to pick the party’s governorship candidate in the forthcoming September 2020, Edo State Governorship poll.
This was disclosed by the PDP via statement, in which it said that the delegates for the primary are made up of party members selected from the wards across the 18 local government areas of the state, in line with the party’s Electoral Guidelines for the conduct of primary elections.
The PDP primary election, which was shifted to Thursday, June 25, 2020, from its earlier scheduled date, has among its contestants the subsisting Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, who is seeking a second term in office.
