Ghanian Authorities Not Party To Attack On Nigerian High Commission – Geoffrey Onyeama

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Perpetrators of the attack on Nigeria’s High Commission Compound in Accra, the Ghanian capital, were non-state actors, according to Nigeria’s  Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.

Onyeama, who disclosed this while making his remarks at the routine  press briefing session of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, said that  the Ghanaian Government had apologised to the Nigerian Government over the sad incident and promised to bring the perpetrators to justice.

According to Onyeama, investigations had revealed that the individuals involved in the invasion were non-state actors who were claiming ownership of the same land where the Nigeria High Commission is cited.

Some unidentified individuals had invaded the Nigerian High Commission premises in Accra Ghana on Friday last week and demolished a structure under construction.
