APC Will Survive, Despite Obaseki’s Painful Exit – Yahaya Bello

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Yahaya Bello, the Kogi State Governor, has asserted that despite the painful exit of Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, from the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party will weather the tempest it currently wallows in and move on to greater heights in future electoral contests across the country.

The governor, who made this assertion while chatting with State House correspondents following a visit by a delegation of North-Central Governors to Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, PresidentMuhammadu Buhari’s new Chief of Staff, added that the APC was set to retain Edo State at the September 19, 2020, Governorship poll. as the party was poised to maintain its winning streak.

Governor Obaseki defected to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in furtherance of his second term bid, following his disqualification from contesting for the APC Gubernatorial ticket.
