APC And PDP Have Similar Ideologies –Godwin Obaseki

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has disclosed that there Is no ideological chasm between his former party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the his new party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the governor, his personal ideology is to bring development and better people’s lives, regardless of which party he belonged to, saying that the APC, which accused the PDP of being a party of looters, turned out to be also guilty of its allegations against the then opposition party, as he later discovered.

For the governor, whether one was a conservative or liberal was not important, as the focus of any good leader should be bringing development and empowering the people through the provision of education, health care, and good infrastructure, which the people yearn for.

Governor Obaseki defected to the PDP on Friday, June 19, 2020, having resigned from the APC earlier, following his disqualification from vying for the party’s governorship ticket at the state primary.
