#Water: Katsina State Government Drills 2,000 Boreholes In 34 Local Councils


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – More than 2,000 boreholes have been drilled by the Katsina State Government across its 34 Local Government Areas, according to Governor Aminu Masari, who disclosed this on Thursday in Ajiwa town of Batagarawa Local Government Area of the state.

While acknowledging the water challenges being faced by communities in the state, Masari expressed the commitment of his administration to the construction of more boreholes in the state to make water available to the people.

Masari also disclosed plans by his administration to rehabilitate the Ajiwa Dam in two phases, adding that investment in water and health were very heavy and not amenable to casual observation, urging patience from the people as his administration was committed to the completion of the Dam project.
