#COVID-19 Briefs: 661 More Cases Recorded By Nigeria, Taking Total Infections To 19, 808


By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced via its verified twitter handle that Nigeria has recorded 661 new COVID-19 infections, taking total infections to 19, 808.

Breakdown of Nigeria’s fresh COVID-19 figures are as follows: Lagos-230, Rivers-127, Delta-83, FCT-60, Oyo-51, Edo-31, Bayelsa-27, Kaduna-25, Plateau-13, Ondo-6, Nasarawa-3, Ekiti-2, Kano-2, Borno-1.

Out of the country’s total 19,808 confirmed cases of the virus, 6,718 have been discharged, while 506 fatalities have been recorded since the onset of the pandemic.
