I Have Not Yet Joined Another Platform — Godwin Obaseki

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – In the wake of trending rumours that he was perfecting plans to formally join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), following his departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has stated that he was yet to join another political party.

The rumour mill has been rife with speculations of Governor Obaseki imminent move to the PDP to actualize his second term bid, following series of visits to PDP Governors in the South-South region of the country, prior to his resignation from the APC, on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, after a meeting with President Buhari, at the State House, Abuja, FCT.

Governor Obaseki was disqualified by the APC’s Screening committee from contesting for the party’s governorship ticket, a development that was reportedly linked to the irreconcilable differences between him and the party’s National Chairman  and one-time governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole.
