Profiling Lagos State’s Free Academy For Youths In Creative Industry
By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Following the rising cases of COVID-19 in the state, the Lagos State Government has put a hold on the planned reopening of worship centers which was set for Friday, June 19 (mosques) and Sunday, June 21 (churches).
The new development was announced by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at a press briefing on Tuesday, June 16, 2020
According to the governor, the decision was taken following painstaking observation and evaluation of evolving scenarios with regards to the trajectory of infections in the state in tandem with public health advisory guidelines issued by the experts.
Out of the total 16,658 cases of COVID-19 so far recorded in Nigeria, Lagos State accounts for 7,319 cases, making it the epicenter of the deadly visrus, whch has killed about 455 Nigerians since its onset .
