Security Issue At The Villa: President Buhari’s Life Was Never Under Threat – Presidency

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Presidency has sort to allay the widespread fear by Nigerians concerning President Muhammadu Buhari’s safety, in the wake of reports of an unsavory incident among some residents of the Presidential Villa, which has resulted in the police making some arrests.

Garba Shehu, the spokesman for the Presidency, via a press release on Sunday, June 14, 2020, assured all concerned Nigerians that the President’s life was never under threat at any time, consequent to the said incident, nor from any infectious disease, as the reported incident occurred outside the private quarters of the president.

According to Shehu, all armed personnel in the presidential lodge were properly trained on weapons handling, and that any breach of their code of conduct was usually addressed by the concerned agency, adding that in accordance with the law, the president had ordered the police to investigate the root cause of the incident, stressing that there was no cause for alarm.
