(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has boosted the Imo State Government’s COVID-19 efforts through the donation of food items and medical equipment, which were received by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barrister Nnamdi Anyehie, at the instance of the Imo State Governor.
NDDC’s donations included food items such as:1087 bags of 50kg Rice, 305 bags of Beans, 288 bags of Garri, 95 cans of palm, 1941 Cartons of Indomie; while medical Items included; ECG Machines-page writer, TC20 Cardiograph Key, APC Smart Digital UPS 5KVA, Infra-red Thermometers, Suction Machine Double Jar, Fluid Warmers, Standard Hospital ICU Bed, Oxygen Cylinder, Oxygen Mask, Infusion Pump, Mobile X-ray (small), Mobile Ultrasonic machines, Mobile Dialysis Machines (small), Artenal blood gas machines, Sanitizers, Trilogy 202 Philips transport ventilator for patients that suffers from moderate to severe respiratory insufficiency, especially in person with lungs problems and infections, Syringe pump, Multi parameter patient monitor, Examination glove, Cotton wool, Plaster, Surgical blade (size 8), Surgical glove (size 7½), PPE , I.V. cannulae 22G Blue ,I.V. cannulae 18G Green, I.V. cannulae 20G Pink, Syringe 5ml, Syringe 10ml, Syringe 2ml, & Blood transfusion sets.
The items were presented to the state government by the NDDC’s Acting Managing Director, Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, represented by a director, Tony Okanne. The programme falls under the commission’s Emergency Support for Health and Social Programme.
