#COVID-19: EU, British Council Donate PPE To Traditional Rulers In Adamawa


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – As part of efforts to boost Nigeria’s COVID-19 efforts, the European Union, in collaboration with the British Council, under the Managing Conflict in North-East Nigeria (MCN) program, have donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other items to some traditional rulers in Adamawa State.

The MCN, a program funded by the EU, works to enhance the capability of state and community level conflict management to prevent the escalation of conflict into violence.

While the Team Leader of the MCN, Abdulkidir Bello, who stated that the donation became expedient taken into cognizance the increasing workload of traditional mediators, amid the COVID-19 crisis, the Lamido of Adamawa, Aliyu Mustapha, while receiving the donated items, lauded the gesture.
