Fifteen COVID-19 Cases In Bauchi Came From Infection-Free Cross Rivers – Gov Bala Mohammed.

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Fifteen COVID-19 cases in Bauchi came from infection-free Calabar, according to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who revealed this via a press briefing on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, a revelation that rubbishes Cross River State’s supposed COVID-19-free status.

Pointing out that he didn’t  want to join issues with anybody, Mohammed said that those hiding the realities of COVID-19 from the authorities and public were going to be accountable to God, calling on leaders to start owning up to their responsibilities and stop pretending.

Governor Mohammed blamed the rising cases of the virus in the state on  the lackadaisical attitude of the people to the observance of COVID-19 guidelines and protocols, threatening to lock down Bauchi City, if the number of infections continued to spike.

Cross Rivers State is said to be the only state in the country yet to record a case of COVID-19, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
