By Lilian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drive in the country, TECNO Foundation has donated vital medical supplies to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in support of efforts to check the further spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
The medical items, which were received by the Lagos office of the NCDC, from officials of TECNO Foundation include 100,000 medical masks, 10,000 medical gloves, 1,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 5,000 googles among others.
Mr Attai Oguche, a TECHNO Foundation official, while handing over the medical supplies to NCDC officials, emphasized the need to properly equip frontline medical personnel who are spearheading the war against the virus, while Mrs. Olajumoke Babatunde, Deputy Director and Head NCDC Lagos office, who received the items on behalf of the Director-General of NCDC, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, lauded TECNO Foundation for the donations, adding that NCDC was working very hard to protect the health of Nigerians against infectious diseases through the support of response activities in the 36 +1 States of the federation, promising that the items received would be prudently utilised to support response activities in these States.
TECNO Foundation seeks to motivate and encourage charitable activities that promote the well-being of Nigerians by identifying and accelerating breakthrough solutions, ideas and conversations.
In this unusual time of this pandemic, TECNO Foundation will be standing together with Nigerians as always.
TECNO Foundation is leading the way in Nigeria as a company willing to support the nation and its public support organizations, demonstrating its care and concern as a socially responsible company.
