#CSR: NDDC Donates Medical Equipment, Consumables In Support Of A’Ibom’s COVID-19 Efforts

By Lilian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Efforts by the Akwa Ibom State Government to stem the spread of COVID-19 in the state have been further boosted with the donation of medical equipment and consumables by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The equipment donated included: Ventilators, ECG Machines, Infra red thermometers, Infusion pumps, standard hospital beds, mobile dialysis machines, arterial blood gas machines, mobile ultrasound machines and syringes among others.

While presenting the items, professor Kemebradikumo Pondei,  Acting Chairman of the commission, represented by the Akwa Ibom NDDC Director, Mr Obot Udoete, stated that the agency was dedicated to propping up the Niger Delta States in their COVID-19 efforts.

Receiving the items on behalf of the state government, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, expressed Governor Udom Emmanuel’s appreciation of the NDDC’s kind gesture, adding that the donations would be helpful in executing the state government’s COVID-19 strategies

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioer for Health, Dr. Dominic Ukpong, who also doubles as the state’s COVID-19 Incident Manager, called on every government agency to collaborate with the state government in waging an effective campaign against COVID-19 in the state.
