Jigawa Discharges 222 COVID-19 Patients


By Amechi Idumuebor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Governor Badaru Abubakar  of Jigawa State has disclosed that 222 out of 283 COVID-19 patients have been discharged in the state. The governor made the revelation at a press briefing on Monday, June 7, 2020, in Dutse, the state capital.

According to Abubakar, the 222 COVID-19 patients were discharged having made full recoveries from the ailment, adding that 120 almajirai were among those discharged, with only two patients left in the state’s isolation centre.

Abubakar also stated that all lockdowns on businesses had been lifted by the state government, attributing the success recorded by the state to aggressive testing and contact tracing adopted by tte government and health authorities.
