I Did Not Ask EFCC To Probe Akpabio – Omo-Agege

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Senate Ovie Omo-Agege, the Deputy President of the Senate, has denied asking the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.

Omo-Agege made the denial via a statement, on Sunday, June 7, 2020, by Yomi Odunuga, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, in which he carpeted a letter, which supposedly emanated from the Clerk of the Senate, acting on his behalf and requesting the acting EFCC Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu, to investigate the minister, pointing out that the letter did not come from him, describing the document as forged, and called on Nigerians to disregard the mischievously crafted letter.
