Armed Banditry: Buhari Assures Citizens And Government Of Katsina Of Improved Security

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The people and government of Katsina State have been assured of the federal government’s renewed efforts at improving the security situation in the state.

This was the submission of President Muhammadu Buhari, during a meeting with the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, at the State House.

According to the president the days of armed bandits roving unchallenged across the country are numbered, advising the bandits to surrender peacefully or die violently, adding that firmer military operations would soon be launched against bandits in Zamfara, Sokoto, Niger, Katsina, and Kaduna States.

While condoling with the state over the loss of lives during recent attacks by armed bandits, which resulted in the death of the District Head of Yantumaki, Alhaji Atiku Maidabino, and APC Chairman in Batsari Local Government Council, Alhaji Abdulhamid Sani Duburawa, President Buhari offered to build a hospital and school in the locality in order for the people domiciled there to have access to education and proper healthcare.
