Edo PDP Guber Congress: Gideon Ikhine, Ogbeide Ihama and Kenneth Imansuangbon Screened


By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has screened three aspirants – Gideon Ikhine, Ogbeide Ihama and  Kenneth Imansuangbon – for the forthcoming governorship election primary in Edo State. The screening was conducted by a committee inaugurated by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on Friday, June 5, 2020, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

Kingsley Chinda, Chairman of the five-member Screening Committee, consisting of Oladimeji Fabiyi, Senator Joy Emordi, Aishat Hasindu, and Boyele Debekeme (the secretary), while speaking to the press, said that the closed-door exercise was rigorous due to the PDP’s determination to reclaim the governorship tiara from the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) at the September 19, 2020, elections.13 party members were approved to serve in the Screening Appeal Panel.
