By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – There are attempts to silence my rape case against pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo , says Busola Dakolo, wife of popular musician, Timi Dakolo, via an Instagram statement posted on Thursday, June 4, 2020, in which she accused the Ministry of Justice for handling with levity the case forwarded to it by the police.
According to Busola, one month after writing a letter to the ministry of justice, she was yet to receive a reply, adding that she had received information about attempts by some individuals to prevent the commencement of the matter.
Busola had in June 2019, accused Fatoyinbo of raping her twice before she turned 18, an accusation that forced Pastor Fatoyinbo to proceed on leave of absence, despite denying the allegation. The Police and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) subsequently commenced investigations into the matter.
However, the matter took another twist when in November, 2019, Busola’s suit against Pastor Fatoyinbo, was dismissed by an Abuja High Court, culminating in her (the plaintiff) being fined N1 million for wasting the court’s time.
