FEC Approves Over N8bn For Commencement Of Work At Farin Waterfalls


By Franca joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Work at the Farin Ruwa waterfalls, a multipurpose dam project  in Nasarawa State, which started in 2003,  is set to resume following the approval of over N8 billion by the Federal Executive Council.

The project, which was taken over by the Federal Government in 2018, is projected to provide water for irrigation and 20 megawatts of power. Work so far done on the projects includes a 20km access road, alongside an embankment and spillways.

Also approved by the FEC is the sum of 1.5 billion naira as consultancy fee for the project, which is expected to be completed  within 12 months.
