Bauchi Deputy Governor Tests Positive For COVID-19

By Lilian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Another prominent Nigerian politician has tested positive for COVID-19, following news that the Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Baba Tela has tested positive for the virus.

Tela, who is also the Incident Commander of COVID-19 in the state, got infected with the dreaded disease in the line of duty. He is presently receiving medical attention at the state isolation centre.

Meanwhile, the State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who was incidentally one of the first top Nigerian politicians to be infected with the virus, has urged the citizens of the state to continue adhering to COVID-19 guidelines such as social distancing, regular hand washing, use of sanitizers and other preventive protocols, in order to halt the continued spread of the disease.
