Nigeria Records 241 New Cases Of COVID-19, As Total Infections Rise To 10,819


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced Tuesday, June 2, 2020, that Nigeria has recorded 241 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking total figures of the virus to 10, 819.

Breakdown of the fresh cases are as follows: Lagos-142, Oyo-15, FCT-13, Kano-12, Edo 11, Delta 10, Kaduna-9, Rivers-9, Borno-8, Jigawa-4, Gombe-3, Plateau-3, Osun-1, Bauchi-1.

The number of patients discharged from the country’s various isolation centres, following their recovery from the ailment, stands at 3, 239, while the number of fatalities increased to 314 since the outbreak of the virus.
