Abducted Nasarawa CAN Chairman Regains Freedom


By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Bishop Joseph Masin, Chairman of the Nasarawa State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), who was reportedly kidnapped last week, has been freed from the custody of his captors.

According to Bola Logne, the Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Masin regained his freedom on Saturday night and later reunited with his family in Lafia on Sunday. he was immediately taken to a hospital for medical checkup.

The commissioner stated that the clergyman’s release was due to serious pressure from his men, following reliable intelligence, adding that four arrests have been so far made in connection with the kidnap.
