Profiling Lagos State’s Free Academy For Youths In Creative Industry
By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – An 18-man foreign crew onboard MT ORYX TRADER vessel, stranded for over three months at the Lagos Anchorage, have received succor courtesy the MARITIME Workers Union of Nigeria, MWUN, in the form of food items and other materials. The crew onboard is made up foreign nationals, with a Pakistani as its captain and a Ukrainian as chief officer.

The crew, according to MWUN , has been stranded at the Lagos outside bar for about three months owing to a yet to be resolved conflict with another vessel. According to reports, the MWUN learnt that the seafarers ran out of food, medical supplies and other necessities and had sent a Save our Soul, SOS, message to the International Transport Workers Federation, ITF, which MWUN is affiliated to.
