Profiling Lagos State’s Free Academy For Youths In Creative Industry
By Lilian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Following the sudden demise of the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) Executive Director, Finance, Chief Ibanga Bassey Enang, on Thursday, May 28, 2020, the Port Harcourt, Rivers State office headquarters of the commission has been shut down.
All Directors, Heads of Departments/Units and staff were asked to vacate the complex with immediate effect, and to go into self-isolation for two weeks, following the release of an internal memo dated 28th May 2020 with reference no: NDDC/HO/HAHR/3, signed by one Silas Anyawu, on behalf of the management.
Although no official reason was proffered to explain the cause of Chief Ibanga Bassey Enang ‘s untimely demise, rumours are rife that it might be related to COVID-19, following the order for the decontamination of the offices and premises of the commission.
Agenda Watchdog, notes that the death of Enang comes in the wake of an ongoing forensic audit of the NDDC’s finances.
