#COVID-19 Infections Burgeon To 7,526, As Nigeria Records 265 New Cases


By Olivis Isibor ( AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Saturday, May 23, 2020, via its verified twitter handle, that Nigeria has recorded 265 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the total number of cases so far recorded in the country to 7,526.

Breakdown of the new cases are follows: Lagos-133, Oyo-34, Edo- 28,i FCT-22, Plateau-6, Kaduna-5, Borno-3, Niger-3, Kwara-2, Bauchi-2, Anambra-2, and Enugu-2.

The number of discharged patients since the outbreak of the pandemic rose to 2, 174, while the number of fatalities remained at 221.
