#Palliative: Seyi Makinde Distributes Palliatives To Poor Ibadan Residents


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde distributed palliatives to the Poor and vulnerable In Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday, May 21, 2020, in continuation of the distribution of palliatives to 90,000 households earlier kick-started in Ibarapa zone. Households in Oke Ado, Foko, Oja-Oba and Oranyan areas of Ibadan were beneficiaries of the governor’s largesse.

According to the Executive Adviser to the governor on Agribusiness, Debo Akande, who was part of the Governor’s entourage, the distribution of palliatives in Ibadan was the final stage of the first batch of the exercise. The first phase started from Ibarapa, Ogbomoso, Oyo, Oke-Ogun and many other towns, villages and local governments in the state.

The administration of Governor Seyi Makinde has provided palliatives for over 90,000 households across the state, as part of its efforts to help cushion the effects of the disruptions engendered by the COVID-19 pandemic on the poor and vulnerable in the state.

Also, 30,000 people of special interest in the society, alongside 10,000 farmers are set to recieveve plliatives from the Seyi Makinde administration.
