#COVID-19 Update: 284 New Cases Reported In Nigeria, Taking Total Number Of Infections To 6,677


By Lilian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday, may 20, 2020, confirmed via its verified twitter handle that Nigeria recorded 284 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the national total number of infections to 6, 677.

Breakdown of the fresh cases, according to the NCDC report are as follows: Lagos- 199, FCT-8, Rivers-26, Oyo-19, Borno-8, Plateau-7, Jigawa-6, Kano-5, Abia-2, Ekiti-1, Delta-1, Kwara-1, Taraba-1.

A total of 1840 patients have been discharged, following their recovery from the ailment, while 200 fatalities have been recorded in the country since the outbreak of the virus.
