#COVID-19 Update: Total Infections Exceed 6,000, As Nigeria Records 216 New Cases

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday, May 18, 2020, announced that Nigeria has recorded 216 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total figures of the virus in the country to 6175.

Breakdown of the new figures is as follows: 74-Lagos, 33-Katsina, 19-Oyo, 17-Kano, Edo-13, Zamfara-10, Ogun-8, Gombe-8, Borno-8, Bauchi-7, Kwara-7, FCT-4, Kaduna-3, Enugu-3 and Rivers State-2.

1,644 cases have been discharged, while 191 fatalities have been suffered in the country since the outbreak of the virus.
