(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – According to Aliyu Sani, National Coordinator, Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation on Monday, May 18, 2020. He made the disclosure while on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

The proposed broadcast comes as the first phase of the gradual easing of the COVID-19 lockdown winds down.

During the nationwide broadcast, President Buhari would be expected to give Nigerians full updates on the ongoing war on COVID-19 in the country and the way forward.

It would be interesting to see whether the government was  thinking of taking a different turn in its approach to the crisis, considering the fact that the guidelines for the easing of the lockdown were being flouted by many Nigerians, or go ahead with the second phase.
