#COVID-19 Update: Total Infections In Nigeria Now 5959, As 338 Fresh Cases Are Recorded

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – In a tweet on its verified handle on Sunday May 17, 2020, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that Nigeria has recorded 338 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the national total to 5, 959.

Breakdown of the new figures is as follows: Lagos-177, Kano-64 cases, FCT- 21, Rivers-16, Plateau-14, Oyo- 11, Katsina-9, Jigawa-4, Kaduna-4, Abia-3, Bauchi-3, Borno-3, Gombe-2, Akwa Ibom-2, Delta-2, Kebbi-2 and Sokoto-2.

While 1594 patients have been discharged from the various isolation centres in the country, having recovered, 182 fatalities have been suffered by the country since the outbreak of the deadly virus.
