(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Having footed the hotel and feeding bills of the first batch of 600 returnees currently in quarantine in Lagos and Abuja, the second set of evacuees would be expected to pay for their accommodation and feeding while in isolation, according to the Federal Government.
This was disclosed by the Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ferdinand Nwonye, who said that while the decision to pick the initial bills was a goodwill gesture by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 towards the returnees, government’s new position was informed by lack of funds.
