(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Vehicles illegally entering Delta Delta State will be impounded and their drivers prosecuted, according to Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa of Delta State, while monitoring compliance with the federal government mandated interstate lockdown order meant to stem the further spread of COVID-19 across state borders.

The governor, who visited the boundaries between Delta and its neighbouring Edo and Anambra States, was impressed with the level of compliance with the directive, enjoining members of the Delta State COVID-19 Task Force and the security personnel enforcing the lockdown at the boundaries to keep up the good work so fa done by ensuring that only vehicles bearing agricultural products or were on critical assignments were let through the borders.

He denied reports of the influx of Almajiris into the state, saying he had not been briefed of such a development.
