Stop Criticizing Govt, Pst Tunde Bakare Slams Church Leaders, Donates Church Buildings As Isolation Centres

By Olivia Isibor, For Agenda Watchdog, May 11, 2020

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – As part of his support for the ongoing efforts against COVID-19 in Nigeria, Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Global Community Church (the defunct Latter Rain Assembly), has donated two church buildings to the Lagos State Government to be used as isolation centers for COVID-19 patients in the state, along with a residential building in Abeokuta, Ogun State, which is to be used for the same purpose.

Pastor Bakare revealed this via a video address on the Church’s verified Facebook page on Sunday, May 10, 2020. He used the opportunity to lampoon Church leaders carpeting the government’s decision to keep churches closed and markets open as part of efforts to curb the further spread of the virus, advising such church leaders to rather complement government’s efforts in stemming the further spread of the deadly virus by making their church buildings and other facilities available for use as isolation and treatment centers.
