(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Residents of Lagos State have been advised to either adhere to social distancing and other guidelines released by the government and health authorities as part of wider measures to help curb the further spread of COVID-19 in the state, or settle for fresh restriction measures by the government.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave this warning while speaking at the routine COVID-19 briefing session in Marina, on Saturday, May 9, 2020. He deplored the widespread noncompliance by residents of the state with preventive guidelines, such as social distancing, wearing of face masks, avoiding crowded places and other codes of conduct, put in place as part of the fazed easing of the lockdown.
The governor also warned that trucks illegally ferrying people into the state, despite an existing interstate lockdown sanctioned by the federal government would be prevented from entering the state.
