(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – 14 persons who breached the Rivers State COVID-19 border closure and lockdown of port Harcourt and Obio Okpkor LGA, by transporting cattle into the state from Adamawa State, will be prosecuted and the cattle and truck that conveyed them will be auctioned, according to Governor Nyesom Wike.

The governor stressed that “the law must take its course”, regardless of who was complicit in the affair, saying the “fight had nothing to do with individuals”.  He further directed the State Ministry of Health to conduct COVID-19 tests on the 14 individuals to ascertain their statuses.
