(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Five truckloads purportedly intercepted by a combined patrol team of the Peace Corps, Civilian Vigilantes and Border COVID-19 Taskforce, while conveying Almajiris to Cross River State from the northern part of the country have been forced to return home. The patrol team had intercepted the trucks at the Gakem border town in Bekwara LGA of Coss Rivers State near Benue State.

The reasons for their forced return ranged form breaking of interstate lockdown order by the federal government and failure by the passengers to meet COVID-19 protocols.
