#COVID-19: There Might Be Another COVID-19 Lockdown If Nigerians Continue To Disregard Social Distancing – NCDC

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Consequent to widespread disregard for social distancing, following the relaxation of lockdown measures in the country on Monday, May 4, 2020, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says there might a second wave of infections that might compel the federal government to impose another lockdown of the country.

NCDC Director-General, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu made this disclosure during the routine briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, on Monday, May 4, 2020.

On the behaviour of some individuals following the lifting of lockdown restrictions in the country on Monday, May 4, 2020, the DG said  “Initial reports are not too pleasing across the country,” . He called on businesses to join hands with government and the agency to implement the required health measures.
