(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – A statement released by the Health and Human Services Secretariat (HHSS) of the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s (FCTA), has disclosed that test results of sympathisers at the burial of Malam Abba Kyari, the Chief Of Staff (COS) to President Muhammadu Buhari, came out negative.

The statement, which was made available to the media, was signed by the Acting Secretary of HHSS, Dr M. B. Kawu, who confirmed the development, adding that the individuals had also completed their 14 days isolation.

There was an uproar across the country following the perceived poor conduct of some Presidency officials during the late COS’ funeral, as Nigerians accused them of contravening social distancing and other regulations prohibiting large gatherings, which were meant to check the further spread of COVID-19 in the country. The individuals involved were subsequently barred from entrance to the Villa pending confirmation of their COVID-19 statuses.
